These are great pieces of advice, especially picking the color palette as the first step. Great video!

Ooooooh I like the sneak peek! That headboard (what I saw of it) is gorgeous. I have a black-white-aqua color palette in my living room; white-grey-dark pink in my bedroom; bathroom is a lost cause for now. I'm kinda all over the place with my color palette obviously. ๐Ÿ˜‹

You know, I think I might just go with the palette from our wedding which was white/navy/gold/blush. My husband liked them and I feel like it will be easy to reproduce.

Your home looks lovely but I think your window coverings would look better if they were on larger diameter rods.

Color palette of my space is white, ivory, and tan (jute.) My accents are gold, black, and the color pop is going to depend on the season. I just moved so I'm still decorating (this video was so timely!) but I'm leaning toward sunflower yellow. It'll transition into fall really easily too. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Very timely! I'm moving into a new house soon. ๐Ÿ™‚
My palette is soft aquas, teals, grey-greens, and neutrals (white, beige, putty, taupe, etc.) – like the ocean.
I'm going for a minimalist cottage style, not "beachy" but more "elf-ish" since I'm a fantasy literature fan. But your principles still resonate & I'm looking forward to this series of videos.
    Thanks for sharing!

Hi Sharrah, I love your style and tips. You are really educating people like me who want a beautiful space to live in. The problem is I don't know how to create it. For example, I do not have a color pallette. I have difficulty committing to a color. HELP!!!!!! I am learning from watching your videos!! Keep up the awesome content!!! This, Gigi

The color palette for my home is what I like to call "hand me down brown"!! And whenever we move into a new place, no matter what time of the year it is, I always check to see where I can put the Christmas tree!! LOL

Love your new decor!! Iโ€™m a big fan of the warm earthy tones and the natural linens and textures. I have a question for you: I am moving into an apartment with my husband after our wedding this summer and we have a lot of donated furniture items weโ€™ll be working with as we donโ€™t have much money to spend. How can we make a a large colour palette work? Is it possible to effectively mix cool tones like light grey and chambray blue with warmer tones like creams and camel as well as with an earthy green? Any thoughts would be much appreciated โ˜บ๏ธ

I am so excited about your series. For me, a house feels like a home, when it is filled with the people we love and the objects that make us cozy. Throw in some holiday memories, dinner parties, and before you know it, it feels familiar.
