    Why wouldn’t you just flush the two cabinets to start with rather than added a 1/4in panel?

    I loved this idea and bought the upper cabinets I needed.  Unfortunately, it didn't work. I had chosen Kitchen Classics from Lowe's because the oak finish matched a built-in oak buffet in the room (Home Depot's was a little too red), and the uppers and lowers are not both 30" as in this video; my lower cabinets are 31". We tried to figure out how we could add the inch to the uppers, but the doors wouldn't have matched going around the corner. Great idea, though…whoever thought of that.
