See how designer Olivia Botrie of Dart Studio overhauled a dark and dated kitchen with an open-concept layout, plenty of natural light and modern cabinetry.

“I’m not always for opening up every space, but in this space it just made sense” —
seriously. this is how designers should approach ‘open concept’, not every space should have every wall knocked down 😒

Would've loved to see before and after floor plans to see how the shape of the space was transformed. Beautiful work nonetheless!

For the staging I value the food and plants that speaks of a home instead of a room design for a store. I love the light of the room and the organic materials but the white is too oppressive because it is so trendy.  I could have been in love had there been some exposed old bricks. But a bathroom next to a kitchen, any kitchen, is repulsive.

Weird 80s music, but very nice, fresh design and best of all, a designer that does not speak with a vocal fry!!! Amazing!!!

Okay Olivia! This is the second video I have seen of your work and once again you hit it out of the ballpark. I wouldn't change one thing in this kitchen. Even the wall scones in the teen dinning nook area are so fetch. Yes. I said "fetch". I'm going to make that happen.

That’s really special that they kept the house and found a way to make it work for nowadays—it isn’t always necessary to go with a big house and tons of rooms that maybe used once in a blue moon! I love the kitchen cabinets and window wall most of all!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nice job however, I never care to have a powder room next to the kitchen or in this case in the kitchen, most of my guest wouldn't feel comfortable utilizing it.

I love open concept kitchen/bathrooms that adjoin; when you entertain, you don't feel like you are separated from your guests; just take a glass of wine in with you…..
